Hi girls, it has been a little while, with weather turning colder getting out of bed is more challenging every morning. But what better ways to wake up than having a delicious breakfast with a coffee.
In summer we like to keep it uber light with those smoothie bowls, but when the temperature drops, a little warm breakfast is the way to go, giving you energy to start your day gloriously. Treat your body like a temple by treating yourself a lovely warm breakfast in the autumn days. If you are trying to lose weight, having a healthy breakfast helps, it provides you with more energy throughout the day while keeping you away from the crave of nibbling while you don’t get as hungry for lunch and dinner.
I have gathered a couple of my favourite quick fix hopefully to inspire an otherwise mundane morning!
Fillet or smoked, salmon are great for breakfast wether smoked on toast or lightly fried with chives. Salmon is high in protein, omega-3 fatty acids which are linked to reducing inflammation, which help keeps skin moisturised. They are also a good source of vitamin E and zinc!
Avocado is a key items to have in the fridge, high in healthy fats and contain vitamins E and C, which are important for healthy skin. Simply toast your sourdough and slice half an avocado with a sprinkle of lemon juice, voila! Not only healthy fats, but also chlorophyll to reduce inflammation, water to hydrate, Vitamin E to promote softness and prevent wrinkles!
It might seem obvious but eggs are good, very good! One whole egg contains an amazing range of nutrients. They contain small amounts of almost every vitamin and mineral required by the human body, including calcium, iron, potassium, zinc, manganese, vitamin E, folate and many more.
